New Radiology/Cardiology Preauthorization Orientation

Date:
October 22, 2021

To: PCPs, Radiology and Cardiology Providers

Contracts affected: Commercial

Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York has selected eviCore healthcare to manage preauthorization for various radiology and cardiology services. eviCore will begin accepting authorization requests through NaviNet on December 1, 2021 for patients who have moved onto Highmark’s system.

In the coming weeks, eviCore healthcare will lead orientation sessions designed to assist you and your staff with navigating this new preauthorization process for your patients on Highmark’s system.

During these sessions, eviCore will discuss in detail the prior authorization requirements and request process for radiology and cardiology services. Time and participation permitting, each training session will be followed by a question-and-answer session. We encourage you to attend one of these informative sessions.

Registration

All online orientation sessions require advance registration. Each online orientation session is free of charge, will last approximately one hour, and is scheduled in eastern standard time.
