Annual HEDIS Campaign

Date:
February 20, 2020

To: All Providers

February begins our annual HEDIS Medical Record Review campaign. As we do every year, we will be requesting medical records to support the care you provide to your BlueCross BlueShield patients. The results are used to demonstrate compliance with NCQA standards and identify ways to improve care and measure effectiveness of current quality programs. We appreciate your willingness to help us with this campaign.

As with previous years, the measures used to conduct this campaign are:

  • Adult BMI Assessment (ABA)
  • Adolescent Immunization (IMA)
  • Adolescent Preventive Care (ADL)
  • Cervical Cancer Screening (CCS)
  • Childhood Immunization Status (CIS)
  • Colorectal Cancer Screening (COL)
  • Comprehensive Diabetes Care (CDC)
  • Controlling High Blood Pressure (CBP)
  • Lead Screening (LSC)
  • Medication Reconciliation Post-Discharge (MRP)
  • Prenatal and Postpartum Care (PPC)
  • Transitions of Care (TRC)
  • Weight Assessment and Counseling for Nutrition and Physical Activity for Children and Adolescents (WCC)

Please submit records to us by March 27, 2020. To provide ease and as little disruption to your practice as possible, we offer a variety of submission options which include:

  • Mail
  • Fax
  • Remote EMR access
  • Secure portal upload
  • Onsite chart review by our staff

Providing remote access to your EMR system means you won’t be required to generate any records yourself. It is the most cost-effective way to review medical records with minimum disruption to your practice. Secure portal upload allows you to drop files into a secure location. For more information on remote EMR access and secure web portal upload delivery methods, or to schedule an onsite chart review please contact Charlene Kozak at (716) 887-6750. Please request a review no later than March 27, 2020.
