2023 Vatica Incentive Payment Changes

Date:
September 22, 2022

To: PCPs

Starting January 1, 2023, incentive payments for Vatica Annual Wellness Visits (AWV) will be paid directly from Vatica Health. Payments will be made monthly.

This change creates a more streamlined process and eliminates the possibility of incentive payment discrepancies. You may currently be receiving incentive payments from Vatica for other payers.

In addition to receiving monthly incentive payments, you will no longer need to include a CG modifier with a G code on AWV claims; however, you WILL need to include the CG modifier on a 99XXX code when billing an annual physical for the same date-of-service as an AWV.

For more information about AWV incentive payments, please review the 2023 AWV billing grids in the Highmark Provider Resource Center (PRC).

You can access the updated billing grids by logging on with your NaviNet credentials at hwnybcbs.highmarkprc.com > Value-Based Reimbursement Programs > Incentive Programs.
