Why should you quit smoking?
If you are a smoker, chances are you've probably thought about quitting or have tried quitting (one or several times). You know that smoking is harmful to your health. You also know that smoking can cause lung disease, cancer, stroke, heart disease, and other chronic health conditions.
When you quit smoking, your health begins to improve in the first 20 minutes after your last cigarette! It can take anywhere from 7 to 10 or more attempts to quit smoking before you quit for good. Getting the support you or a loved one needs will help - we're here to provide the resources you need to take the first step.
