Julie R. Snyder
Vice President, Corporate Relations
Julie R. Snyder joined BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York in 2011 and is the company’s vice president, corporate relations.
Snyder is responsible for the company’s strategy and direction for media relations, community investments and partnerships, internal and operational communications, and key corporate initiatives. She focuses on enhancing the organization's reputation through transparent and effective messaging strategies.
Prior to joining BlueCross BlueShield, Snyder served as executive director of Sisters Hospital Foundation, where she was responsible for the hospital’s fund development and disbursement of grants. She was also director of communications for the Buffalo Niagara Partnership from 1994 to 2000.
Snyder earned a bachelor’s degree in public communication from American University in Washington DC. She serves on the board of trustees for Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, Catholic Charities of Buffalo, Medaille College, and the Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center. She is also a member of several marketing committees for various non-profits including Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology, United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, and 43North.
A resident of Buffalo, New York, Snyder is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Buffalo.
