Medicare Advantage

You should have already received your Annual Notice of Change telling you of any changes to your current plan for 2008. If you are happy with your current plan, you do not need to complete any paperwork and you will remain a member of your current plan. You have until December to decide if you want to remain in your current plan or enroll in one of our other plans.

Do you need help?

You will receive an invitation to our November meetings available in your area. Attending one of our meetings gives us an opportunity to sit down with you, one-on-one, to review your plan and your options. BlueCross BlueShield offers a number of options for individuals with Medicare, including:

  • Medicare HMO plans (offered with and without a prescription drug benefit)
  • Medicare PPO plans (offered with and without a prescription drug benefit)
  • Medicare Supplemental plans.

We anticipate very high call volumes throughout November. If you have questions about your 2008 benefits, we recommend you read your letter carefully and attend one of our meetings. (To reduce your on-hold time, you may wish to call us during our evening and weekend hours when we are less busy.)

We promise to make every effort possible to ensure you are comfortable with your health insurance choice in 2008.
